1989 Topps Baseball Trading Card Box (36 Packs)

The 1989 Topps Baseball design is stylish and colorful. Card fronts have a white border that is complimented by a thin inner frame that is based on team colors. The top left corner of the frame is rounded. The player's team name is in a large stylized font at the bottom of the card. A wavy ribbon comes out of the team and holds the player's name in block letters. Card backs have a pinkish background. Players have complete stats for both the major and minor league careers. Short write-ups appear when there is space. A new feature is the Monthly Scoreboard on the backs. It tracks month-by-month stats in several key areas. The 792-card checklist includes large team rosters . several subsets and a couple of new additions. 1989 Topps Baseball marks the first time the previous year's draft picks were included in the base set.
